ROSES: In early spring
work one 12 oz. cup of Cottonseed Meal into the soil
around each plant and water thoroughly. A second application
is usually desirable in late summer.
AZALEAS, CAMELLIAS, RHODODENDRONS,
OR GARDENIAS: Apply 1/4 lb. of Cottonseed
Meal per sq. yard in late winter or early spring.
Mix into mulch, avoid disturbing shallow roots, water
thoroughly. A second application is needed 6 to 8
weeks later. Water thoroughly after each application.
VEGTABLE GARDENS: Apply
4 to 6 lbs. of Cottonseed Meal and 1 to 1 1/2 lbs.
recommended garden fertilizer per 100 sq. feet of gardening
area. Two to three weeks later, apply a topdressing
of Cottonseed Meal at 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. per 100 sq. feet.
Lightly work into the mulch and water thoroughly.
ESTABLISHED LAWNS: In
early spring apply a mixture of 3 lbs. Cottonseed Meal
and 1 lb. turf grass fertilizer per 100 sq. feet. Mid
tolate summer apply 3 lbs. Cottonseed Meal per 100
sq. feet. Rake lightly and water thoroughly after each
application.
NEW LAWNS: Mix 4 to
5 lbs. per 100 sq. feet of Cottonsedd Meal into the
soil. If soil is extremely poor mix 8 to 10 lbs. per
100 sq feet.
